2nd Radiator Coolant Bottle and Starter Solenoid and Starter Circuit Relay249 viewsThe KLR250 coolant bottle displaced the starter solenoid and starter circuit relay. New brackets were made to hold the coolant bottle and the displaced electrics. The rear shock preload adjuster is still accessable using a socket and extension.jeffsaline

2nd Radiator Relocated displaced electrics244 viewsHere you can see some of the new locations for the displaced electrics. The flasher unit is now on the other side of the frame. With the fuel tank installed I have at least 3/8" clearance on all components. Tabs were added or moved on the stock coolant bottle bracket as needed. The stock CDI bracket was cut into multiple pieces for best fit of the components. Note the custom 195 degree stat housing on the side of the head.jeffsaline

2nd Radiator New CDI Location194 viewsThis is the new location of the CDI. Places to locate this unit are few and far between. I chose this location as it would be in fresh air for cooling and pretty well protected. At temperatures below 70 degrees there doesn't appear to be any problem with cooling. Warm/Hot weather testing will tell the tale on whether I made a good choice or not.jeffsaline

KLR650 with a 2nd Radiator from a KLR250233 viewsThis is the result of installing a KLR250 right radiator on my KLR650. It displaced the coolant bottle and all the electrics on the CDI bracket. So far, with only cool to cold weather tests completed the performance is promising.jeffsaline

KLR650 with 2nd Radiator, Coolant Bottle and relocated electrics237 viewsThis is where I located a KLR250 coolant bottle. It displaced the electrics under the side stand switch cover. I moved the starter solenoid and starter circuit relay to the backside of the main frame downtube. The shock preload is still adjustable if you use a socket with an extension.jeffsaline
