2nd Radiator Relocated displaced electrics246 viewsHere you can see some of the new locations for the displaced electrics. The flasher unit is now on the other side of the frame. With the fuel tank installed I have at least 3/8" clearance on all components. Tabs were added or moved on the stock coolant bottle bracket as needed. The stock CDI bracket was cut into multiple pieces for best fit of the components. Note the custom 195 degree stat housing on the side of the head.jeffsaline

Rack for Ortieb Dry Saddlebag264 viewsThis rack keeps the Ortlieb Dry Saddlebag off the exhaust and also has a spot to fasten the bag to the rack to keep it from flopping. I think 5 KLRs are currently using this type rack. Two have had the rack crack just before the rear post. One was pretty new but used on some pretty tough roads. The other had over 10,000 miles on it and had recently been rebent after a hard fall.jeffsaline

Vista Cruise on a 2003 KLR650100 viewsI used two small pieces of 1/8" aluminum to make the brackets to hold the Vista Cruise in place. The bolt is an 8 or 10-32. I think maybe 8-32 so if the threads ever stripped I could easily go up one size. The Vista Cruise is a Dual Cable Model for most Hondas and Kawasakis pre-1982. I made the brass adjuster as I didn't want to have to mess with a screwdriver every time it needed adjustment. The end of the grip is removed to reduce friction as the supplied plastic piece doesn't work well.jeffsalineMar 01, 2009
